Mother/Daughter Mac Pics

Ok so I thought I'd publish these... for laughter's sake. This is a probably-never-going-to-happen-again post because I don't like posting not-so-prettyful-pics. It's me & my momma.

Eeeek!

Sick sick sick.
That's how I am right now.

I don't know what I have but I'm shooting' for strep. I think it's strep (better said).
Yesterday I was fine & then this morning my throat is swollen to the point where I can feel my trachea closing up... ok maybe that's a little dramatic but it's something like that.

The little ones have been super sick at work so I guess I had it comin'.
It even hurts to talk (& of course swallow) but I ain't mopin'!

You know when you get sick & you just want to stay in bed (not saying that's bad er anything, because I did get some extra beauty sleep today), & you totally have the chance to pity your state-of-being-sick? Well don't!
Your body might be asking you for rest so get it. But in my personal opinion, when I'm sick & I don't do anything, I get better slower. In my case, since my throat's killin' me, I turn up the music & dance. Gets my spirits up ya know?

So try it out next time. Most of the time, it's up to you to make it better :)

P.S. Don't forget the fluids!

Belt it

I like singing.
One: it's an outpour to the Lord because I'm so thankful for many things.
Two: I usually have music on, wherever I go, so I sing along.
Three: I really like challenging myself (i.e. reaching higher/lower ranges, vocalizing, memorizing lyrics).

One of the places where I sing my heart out is in my car. Can you relate?
I blast the music (usually a little lower to where I can hear an ambulance siren) and sing!
However, there comes a point where you're waiting at a stop light & another car drives up right next to you. Do you minimize your mouth movements & sing under your breath or do you stop singing altogether? Or could you care less and keep on singin'?

Sometimes I do all of those. Ha ha, I get self-concious and think about what the other person might be thinking once they see my mouth moving, "Man, she must be having a terrible day. Pep talk to self. I can relate." "Maybe she's on her way to an interview & she's practicing." "Why do people do that?" Or maybe they're nice and say, "I should sing too!" "She's talking to herself? Yeah that's pretty therapeutic."

Other people might not know why you're "talking to yourself" or singing when you're at a stop light, but what's the big deal?! It's a matter of preference, & sometimes I prefer singing in my car & laughing by myself when I remember something funny... even if other people are watching.
